Millerovo, Military aerodrome in Rostov Oblast, Russia
Millerovo is a military aerodrome in Rostov Oblast, southern Russia, sprawling across several hectares with hangars, taxiways and maintenance areas. The facility comprises personnel quarters, fuel storage and technical buildings that support operations of fighter aircraft.
The aerodrome was established during the Soviet period and served as a base for air forces in the southern region. In February 2022, the facility sustained damage from missile strikes that affected infrastructure and parked aircraft.
The military installation maintains strong connections with the local community of Millerovo, where residents participate in commemorative events related to aviation achievements.
Access to the site is not possible without official clearance from the Russian Ministry of Defense, as it remains an active military restricted area. Visitors without military authorization cannot enter the grounds or photograph from close range.
Two regiments are stationed here: the 31st Guards Fighter Regiment with Su-30SM jets and the 368th Assault Regiment with Su-25 aircraft. Both units belong to the Southern Military District and operate regularly from this location.
