Marat

The territory extends across fertile lands at 600 meters above sea level, located 175 kilometers northwest of Riyadh through Qiddiya Road.

King Abdulaziz initiated the construction of his palace within Marat in 1350 AH, establishing a significant administrative center for the region.

The governorate maintains traditional Saudi administrative structures with a governor and deputy governor overseeing local affairs and community development.

The region contains 3,675 residential buildings, supports 2,632 commercial activities, and incorporates 1,867 agricultural projects across its territory.

Mount Kemit, situated south of Marat, features a distinct red-black coloration and serves as a reference point in regional poetry.
