Nasa silver mine, Silver mine on Nasa Mountain near Arjeplog, Sweden

The Nasa silver mine consists of old quarries, ruins, and a restored miner's cottage from 1889 at an elevation of 1,211 meters.

The mine operated from 1635 to 1659 and 1770 to 1810, producing 970 kilograms of silver and 271 tons of lead across both periods.

Indigenous Sami people transported ore using reindeer-drawn sleds from the mine to distant smelting locations through the challenging northern terrain.

The mine location at coordinates 66.473889 latitude and 15.403333 longitude marks the border between Sweden and Norway in Norrbotten County.

Norwegian forces under Preben von Ahnen attacked and destroyed the mine in August 1659, leading to its first operational closure.
