Furudals bruk

The Furudals Bruk museum complex contains numerous buildings that display traditional manufacturing processes and industrial equipment from different time periods.

Established in 1709 by Birger Elfving, the iron works facility received authorization to manufacture weapons and cannons for the Swedish military forces.

The museum presents exhibits about local craftsmanship, focusing on the methods and tools used in Swedish iron manufacturing throughout three centuries.

Visitors need to reserve guided tours one week ahead, and the two-hour experience includes refreshments with fresh bread and sandwiches.

The location along the Ore River combines industrial heritage with outdoor activities, offering both blacksmith workshops and fishing opportunities.
