Hildesborg

Hildesborg is a manor house in Landskrona Municipality featuring a main building with classical proportions and substantial outbuildings. The estate includes a hotel, golf course, marina, and farm areas that together create a multi-activity destination within one property.

The site's roots trace back to the 13th century, but the manor took its current form after a complete redesign completed shortly before 1841 under architect Carl Christoffer Gjörwell. This transformation gave the property its lasting classical appearance.

Inside, visitors find understated Gustavian and Empire-style furniture arranged throughout the rooms, showing how Swedish nobility shaped their living spaces across generations. These furnishings reflect the everyday preferences and habits that defined wealthy households of the era.

The grounds are sprawling and best explored on foot or by bicycle if you want to see all areas. Visitors should expect that accommodation, dining, and recreational activities like golf are spread across the entire property.

In the early 1900s, art collector Rolf de Maré owned the estate and displayed paintings by Picasso, Braque, and Léger in its rooms. This collection temporarily transformed the manor into a private art venue of international importance.
