Court House Palace

The Court House Palace is a Renaissance Revival courthouse in central Ljubljana. It displays symmetrical facades with classical cornices and regularly spaced rectangular windows that give the structure a formal and dignified appearance.

The building was constructed following the 1895 earthquake that devastated the city and destroyed earlier judicial facilities. It became a new center for legal proceedings and courts during the period of post-earthquake reconstruction.

The name reflects its role as a center of law and administration in the city. You can observe the building functioning as a place where public legal matters are handled and where the community's relationship with justice takes physical form.

The building sits on Tavčarjeva ulica in the downtown area and is easily accessible on foot. Keep in mind that it functions as an active courthouse, so access to certain areas may be restricted.
