Krížna

Krížna is a 2039-meter mountain summit in the Low Tatras featuring three ridges that converge at its peak. This configuration creates distinct valleys and gullies on each of its sides.

The first documented winter ascent took place in January 1903, though shepherds and hunters had traveled its paths long before. The mountain was known to local users well ahead of its formal climbing record.

The mountain's slopes were traditionally used by inhabitants of Kokawa and Wychodna villages for sheep grazing activities.

Access involves crossing several deep gullies that cut across the landscape and demand careful navigation. With proper gear and preparation, the route is manageable for experienced hikers.

The eastern slope rises approximately 860 meters in a steep incline, making it the sharpest face of the entire mountain. This extreme pitch creates a visually imposing wall when viewed from certain angles.
