Khlong Luang

Khlong Luang is an administrative district in Pathum Thani province that spans across central Thailand with multiple subdistricts and settlements. The area houses the Thailand Science Park, Thammasat University's Rangsit Campus, and numerous villages that blend rural traditions with modern development.

The area was originally part of Bang Wai District and received its current name following the completion of the Khlong Rangsit canal system. This renaming reflected changes in local administrative organization and the region's water management development.

The district includes seven tambons divided into 106 villages, preserving traditional Thai administrative structures while integrating modern urban development.

The district is located near Thammasat University's Rangsit Campus and is accessible by local transportation options. Visitors should expect to find mainly work areas, educational facilities, and farming lands rather than tourist infrastructure.

The seven subdistricts follow a systematic naming from Khlong Nueng to Khlong Chet, referring to a sequence of canals throughout the area. This numbering system makes the geographic and administrative structure remarkably straightforward.
