Rahmi M. Koç Museum

The Rahmi M. Koç Museum spans 27,000 square meters along the Golden Horn, featuring exhibitions of transport, industry, and communications through thousands of artifacts.

The museum opened in 1994 in the Lengerhane Building, a Byzantine structure from the 12th century that served as an anchor foundry during Ottoman times.

The collection includes 13,500 pieces representing industrial development, from vintage automobiles to steam engines, planes, and maritime vessels.

The museum remains open six days per week, offering wheelchair access, multiple dining options, and boat trips along the Golden Horn on the historic Rosalie tugboat.

Visitors can explore the de Havilland Vampire jet, examine the Fenerbahce steamboat, and view numerous scientific instruments across two connected historical buildings.
