Located at 300 meters elevation, Novoiavorivsk spans across 2.03 square kilometers in the Lviv Oblast region of western Ukraine.
The settlement began in 1965 under the name Yantarne due to sulfur extraction operations and received city status in 1986.
The Palace of Culture and central square form the heart of community activities, with regular gatherings and local performances.
The city connects to regional transportation networks through the Jantarne Train Station and lies along the M10 highway section of route E40.
The local ice hockey club HC Levy represents Novoiavorivsk in regional competitions, maintaining winter sports traditions in the community.
