Bear Sanctuary Domazhyr, Bear conservation center in Lviv Oblast, Ukraine.
The Bear Sanctuary Domazhyr spans across 20.3 hectares of land, providing natural habitats with outdoor enclosures and rehabilitation spaces for rescued brown bears.
Four Paws organization established the sanctuary in 2013 to address the critical issue of bears suffering from exploitation at hunting stations and illegal fighting events.
Educational guided tours at the sanctuary inform visitors about Ukrainian wildlife protection efforts and the importance of creating safe environments for rescued animals.
The sanctuary welcomes visitors from Wednesday to Saturday between 9 AM and 5 PM, with entrance fees of 200 UAH for adults and 120 UAH for children.
Twenty-seven bears, each rescued from different circumstances of neglect or abuse, now receive specialized veterinary care and rehabilitation in specially designed enclosures.
