Aviation Technical Museum

The Aviation Technical Museum is a collection of Soviet-era aircraft and helicopters in Luhansk, Ukraine. The exhibition features both fighter jets and transport planes displayed in indoor and outdoor areas, with many pieces in varying states of preservation.

The museum was founded in 1996, based on aircraft sent to the Lugansk repair plant for maintenance that were no longer in service. Over time, this grew into a permanent collection documenting the region's Soviet aviation industry.

The museum honors Soviet aviation history through its collection, showing how aircraft shaped the region's identity for decades. Visitors can see the importance these machines held for local industry and the people who lived here.

The aircraft are displayed both indoors and outdoors, so a visit during good weather allows you to see the full collection. Plan time to explore, as the collection is spread across multiple areas and requires walking between different exhibition spaces.
