Horikhovyi Hai

Horikhovyi Hai is a nature park in Frankivskyi district featuring a lake called Olesko at its center, surrounded by hornbeam and walnut trees. Walking paths wind through the wooded area and connect toward the nearby Dynamo stadium.

The park was established as green space bounded by Volodymyra Velykoho Street, Knyahyni Olhy Street, and the Lviv-Khodoriv railway line, preserving its wooded character over time. Its location between these fixed boundaries has shaped and protected the area for decades.

The name refers to a grove, reflecting the woodland character that defines this space. Locals use the area as a natural retreat for walks and quiet time away from the city streets.

The park provides benches for sitting, a play area for children, and a café serving refreshments scattered throughout the grounds. The walking paths are straightforward to navigate and allow easy exploration of the entire space.

The lake attracts different water birds such as ducks and water hens that have made this place their home. Bird watchers find these species especially visible during early morning and evening hours.
