Arboretum of Bereznivskyi Forestry College, Botanical research site in Rivne Oblast, Ukraine.
The Arboretum of Bereznivskyi Forestry College covers about 30 hectares of land with pathways leading through collections of trees and shrubs from different regions. The site displays plants from Ukraine, the Caucasus, the Carpathians, and East Asia.
The site was created in 1979 and received official protected status in 1989 through a resolution by the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR. This recognition acknowledged its importance for botanical research and education.
The place serves as a teaching space where forestry students examine and research different plant species in their natural setting.
Visitors can explore different botanical zones that include specialized areas such as a rose garden and a birch grove. The paths are well laid out for self-guided exploration of the plant collections.
The arboretum gathers over 750 different plant species arranged into eight geographical regions, including a specialized lilac section. This variety makes it an unusually comprehensive plant study area in the region.
