The Exaltation of the Cross Church features traditional Ukrainian architecture with a vestibule, nave, chancel, and shingled roof at 7 Zwarycka Street.
Built in 1613 during the Ukrainian Renaissance period, the church received its bell tower in 1661 and decorative frescoes during the 18th century.
The church contains an extensive collection of 18th-century murals and an iconostasis that demonstrate the religious artistic traditions of Ukrainian culture.
The Museum of the Drohobych Land manages the church building, permitting visitors to explore and photograph the historical structure throughout the year.
The architectural design shares similarities with the Orthodox Church of Saint Jura nearby but deliberately excludes the characteristic bulbous domes.
