Church of the Resurrection, Eastern Orthodox church in Chernihiv, Ukraine.
The Church of the Resurrection is a stone building with a single dome and rectangular porches on each side. Triangular pediments decorate the facades of this structure.
Construction occurred between 1772 and 1775 at the city cemetery, funded by landowner Yekaterina Borkovskaya. A separate bell tower was built during the same period.
The church serves as a place of worship and spiritual gathering for the local Orthodox community. It remains an important part of religious life in the city.
The building is best accessed from the cemetery where it stands. Visitors should wear respectful clothing when entering this active place of worship.
The bell tower contains the Church of St. Gregory within its lower level. This combined function of housing both bells and a chapel is uncommon in local architecture.
