Berezivka Raion is an administrative district in Odesa Oblast comprising 16 separate communities spread across a wide area. The district is primarily rural with scattered settlements connected by local roads and regional routes.
The district was established in 1923 and underwent significant territorial expansion in 2020 when it incorporated three neighboring districts. This administrative reform reshaped the boundaries of the region.
The district preserves several aristocratic residences including the Kuris Palace, Giżycki Manor, and remnants of the Rauch Castle in different settlements.
The district connects via Highway M05 between Kyiv and Odesa, providing transit through the region. Navigation can be helpful since settlements are scattered across the territory.
The Chychykleia River, a tributary of the Southern Bug, flows through multiple communities within the district. This waterway shapes the natural landscape and local water resources of the region.
