Tyligul Estuary Landscape Park, Odesa Oblast

The landscape park spans 13,954 hectares along the Tyligul Estuary, featuring wetlands, coastal areas, and diverse ecosystems supporting numerous bird species.

The estuary's isolation from the Black Sea occurred during the 18th and 19th centuries, creating specific conditions for local wildlife development.

The name Tyligul originates from Turkish words 'Deli Göl', meaning mad lake, reflecting the historical presence of different cultures in this region.

Visitors can participate in birdwatching, hiking, mountain biking, and paragliding activities throughout the protected natural territory.

The estuary contains 14 million tons of black therapeutic mud used for medical treatments, while maintaining a salinity level between 14 to 23 parts per thousand.
