Bethel Church

Bethel Church is a neo-charismatic megachurch in Redding, California, counting among the largest independent congregations in the country. The campus includes multiple worship halls, classroom buildings, and a media center for music production.

Robert Doherty founded the congregation in 1952 as part of the Assemblies of God. Bill Johnson took over leadership in 1996 and steered it toward independence, while membership grew substantially during the same period.

The worship music produced under the Bethel Music label reaches congregations around the world. Jesus Culture, a connected ministry, organizes conferences and shapes how many believers approach contemporary praise songs.

The Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry offers year-long programs for students from around the globe. Visitors will find parking areas around the campus, and most sections are accessible for people with mobility needs.
