Namloser Wetterspitze, Mountain summit in Lechtal Alps, Austria.
The Namloser Wetterspitze is a mountain summit in the Lechtal Alps rising to about 2550 meters. From the peak, views extend into the Sommerberg Valley and toward nearby mountain passes, while the ridge displays several notable rock formations.
Mountain climbers first documented ascent routes to this peak during the 19th century. This marked the start of organized climbing in the Lechtal Alps and led to the paths still used today.
The mountain villages around this summit practice traditional Alpine customs that remain visible in daily village life. These connections to the mountains shape how people live and use their landscape.
The ascent is possible from two sides: from Bschlabs or from Namlos, with most routes taking about four to five hours. Good hiking boots and experience on steep terrain are important, since some paths require sure-footedness.
Its position between Hahntennjoch and Namlos creates different microclimates on each side of the mountain. These differences visibly shape the vegetation and climbing conditions depending on which route you choose.
