Fuschlsee

Fuschlsee is an alpine lake situated at approximately 663 meters elevation in the Salzburg region of Austria. The water is surrounded by forested slopes and meadows that descend from the surrounding mountains, creating a natural basin where visitors can swim, fish, or simply walk along the shoreline.

The lake region has been part of the Salzburg diocese lands since medieval times and played a role in the local economy and daily life of mountain communities. Over centuries, it remained a valued resource for fishing and transport in this alpine valley.

The lake region celebrates Farmer's Autumn from August to October with traditional folk music performances and local customs demonstrations.

Several bathing spots are located around the lake where visitors can swim during warm months. Boat rentals and recreation facilities are available at various points along the shore to help you explore and enjoy the water.

During winter months, the lake offers scheduled Advent boat trips and winter swimming opportunities in its cold mountain waters.
