Hintersee-Felber Ache, Natural monument in Mittersill, Austria.

The Hintersee-Felber Ache lake extends over 5 hectares at 1313 meters elevation, measuring 300 meters in length and 200 meters in width.

The lake formed in 1495 following a substantial landslide and received official protection as a natural monument in 1933 due to its environmental value.

The nearby Felbertauer route holds historical importance as a Roman-era path where pack animals transported goods through the Alpine region.

The Hintersee-Alm hut near the Gamsblick viewpoint provides services for visitors exploring the numerous hiking trails around the lake.

Several high waterfalls cascade down the steep valley slopes, while the Gamsblick viewpoint at 1324 meters offers sightings of wild chamois.
