Teufelsspitze

Teufelsspitze is a summit in the Granatspitz range located on the border between Salzburg and East Tyrol with an elevation between 2813 and 2848 meters. The peak sits above high mountain valleys and offers different routes for climbers of varying skill levels.

The peak received its first recorded ascent on July 21, 1926, when climbers reached the summit via the southern route. This early climb helped establish it as a known destination for mountaineers in the region.

The mountain sits on the border between two Austrian states and draws visitors from both sides who share the climbing routes and views. This location makes it a natural meeting point for people from different regions of Austria.

Multiple climbing routes provide access with varying levels of difficulty, from gentler approaches to technical rock sections. Choose your path based on your climbing experience and bring appropriate gear for high mountain conditions.

The peak can be approached from multiple starting points, including a route from Riegelturmscharte at 2670 meters elevation. These different access points give climbers flexibility to choose a suitable path based on weather and available time.
