Dorfkapelle Tregist, Protected chapel in Bärnbach, Austria.
The Dorfkapelle Tregist displays colorful wall paintings on its exterior, featuring biblical motifs and depictions of saints including Martin of Tours and Mother Teresa.
Built between 1986 and 1989, this chapel replaced an earlier structure from 1884 that was destroyed by flooding in the 1950s.
The main altar presents an image of Mary Untier of Knots, created by artist Franz Weiss as a response to the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
Located at 470 meters altitude near Tregist Creek, the chapel remains accessible for exterior viewing throughout the year.
During Christmas season, the chapel grounds transform with six image panels forming a nativity village that illustrates the Christmas story.
