Church of Our Lady, Gothic Catholic church in Brugge, Belgium

The Church of Our Lady features a 115.6-meter brick tower, making it the second-highest brick church structure on Earth, behind St. Martin's Church in Landshut.

Construction of the church began in the 13th century upon the site of an earlier Carolingian chapel from 875, with major additions continuing through the 15th century.

The church holds Michelangelo's Madonna and Child sculpture, originally intended for the Piccolomini altar in Siena Cathedral, along with tombs of Mary of Burgundy.

Visitors can explore the church and O.L.V.-kerk Museum daily between 09:30 and 17:00, with separate admission fees for the museum section ranging from 4 to 8 euros.

The central nave incorporates Tournai stone in Scheldt Gothic style, while the western facade displays characteristic twin stair turrets and extensive use of bluestone.
