The brick church contains a marble main altar from 1925 and stained glass windows depicting Christ crucified, Saint Paul, and Saint Alena.
The construction of Sainte-Barbe Church started in 1863 under architect Maximilien-Joseph Pasquet and finished in 1866 to serve a growing population.
The church maintains a memorial in the right nave commemorating 32 local residents who lost their lives during World War I.
The religious building stands at coordinates 50°25'37"N and 4°28'16"E, within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tournai administrative boundaries.
Local residents funded the construction through substantial donations, including 6,000 francs from doctor Nicolas Decoux and 10,000 francs from industrialist Jacques Cornil.
