Brest City Park

Brest City Park is a green space in the city center that features two connected lakes, walking paths, and areas for relaxation. Iron fences line the waterfront to protect visitors as they explore.

Military soldiers from the Libava Regiment created this green space in 1906 as an original urban park in the city center. The grounds expanded over time and later received a new name.

The park serves as a gathering place where residents enjoy outdoor activities and where concerts and festivals happen throughout the year. Local people use the green spaces to spend time with family and friends during all seasons.

Visitors can reach both lakes by using newly constructed bridges and following well-maintained paths throughout the grounds. The best time to visit is during dry weather when walking paths are easiest to navigate.

The park contains several tree species that are rarely found in this part of Europe, including plane trees and tamarisk. These unusual plants create a special botanical character rarely seen in the region.
