Laguna de Duero, Municipality in the province of Valladolid, Spain.

Laguna de Duero is a small town in Valladolid province with an artificial lagoon at its center. The lagoon is surrounded by green trees and offers a quiet spot for walking or relaxing, with clean water and simple recreational facilities like benches and barbecue areas in a nearby park.

The area was long known for salt production, with people working in salt flats near the lagoon that developed over time. This salt production was important to the economy and growth of the community until it was eventually abandoned.

The name Laguna de Duero refers to the lagoon that forms the center of the town. The area has a long tradition of salt production that still lives in the community's stories, while the quiet atmosphere by the water shows how locals spend their daily lives in this peaceful setting.

The town is only a few minutes by car from Valladolid and easily accessible by car, bus, or bike with simple, well-marked roads. Visitors can walk or cycle around the lagoon and enjoy the waterfront path, or stay in nearby rural houses and cozy guesthouses for an overnight visit.

The church Nuestra Señora de la Asunción in the town has a tower remaining from an earlier church that stood as part of the town's religious history. Nearby are ruins of an old monastery called El Abrojo that once served as a place of worship and was possibly visited by King Carlos V.
