Biblioteca Museu Víctor Balaguer

The building features two symmetrical wings, with one section dedicated to library functions and another containing art exhibitions and historical collections.

Founded by politician Víctor Balaguer i Cirera in 1884, the institution became one of the first purpose-built museums in Catalonia dedicated to public cultural access.

The museum exhibits works from notable Spanish artists including Rusiñol, Casas, and Goya, while maintaining an extensive collection of nineteenth-century literature.

Located on Avinguda de Víctor Balaguer, the museum maintains regular exhibition hours and provides adapted access facilities for all visitors.

The building exterior incorporates architectural elements from Egyptian and Greek styles, creating a distinct temple-like structure in the heart of Vilanova i la Geltrú.
