Fundación NMAC

Fundación NMAC is an art foundation set within a Mediterranean forest where international artists create installations and sculptures outdoors. The works are spread across the grounds and integrate the natural landscape as part of their design.

The foundation began as a nonprofit institution in southern Spain and grew into a reference point for outdoor contemporary art. Over time it became known for supporting artistic experiments that work directly with natural environments.

Artists here create works that respond directly to the Mediterranean landscape around them. Visitors can see how contemporary art and nature blend together in a single place.

The grounds are open to visitors on several days of the week for self-guided exploration through the artworks. Wearing comfortable shoes is recommended as visiting involves walking across natural terrain throughout the site.

Each artwork was created specifically for its exact location and cannot simply be moved elsewhere. Artists work with the unique features of the forest to create pieces that are essential to this particular place.
