Collegio Teresiano, School building in Les Tres Torres, Barcelona, Spain

Collegio Teresiano is a school building in Les Tres Torres with distinctive red brick walls and pointed turrets. The layout includes multiple courtyards that allow natural light to reach all parts of the structure.

Antoni Gaudí designed this school between 1888 and 1890, working around pre-existing foundations on the site. The project required him to adapt his vision to both budget limits and structural constraints.

The building blends Gothic Revival with Catalan modernism, showing how late nineteenth-century schools in Catalonia were designed to balance tradition with new ideas. The red brick facade with its turrets reflects the taste of that era.

The school can be reached by metro line L3 or bus lines 70 and V11, located at Carrer de Ganduxer 85. Since it remains an active school, visitors can explore the grounds from outside and view the architecture from the street.

Inside the building is an unusual staircase on the first floor that leads nowhere. This odd feature reveals Gaudí's experimental mindset and willingness to take architectural risks.
