Dos Hermanas, Municipality south of Seville, Spain

Dos Hermanas spans across 160 square kilometers of land between the Guadaira and Guadalquivir rivers, forming part of the Seville metropolitan area.

Ferdinand III of Castile established the settlement in 1248, naming it after two sisters of his military commander Gonzalo Nazareno during the conquest of Seville.

The annual Feria de Dos Hermanas brings together thousands of participants who celebrate local traditions through music, dance, and regional gastronomy.

The municipality maintains extensive olive groves and production facilities, contributing significantly to the Spanish olive oil and table olive industries.

A 232-meter broadcasting tower near the city transmits radio signals at 300 kilowatts, making it one of the most powerful medium wave facilities in Spain.
