Cambrils, Mediterranean coastal town in Costa Dorada, Spain

Cambrils is a coastal town on the Costa Dorada with a working harbor and several beaches with good water quality. The old quarter sits behind the waterfront and features narrow streets and buildings from earlier centuries.

The area was settled in Roman times, as shown by remains of an ancient villa on a major trade route. Over the centuries, the settlement grew as a fishing and trade center.

The town has long roots in farming and fishing, traditions that still shape daily life today. You can see these activities everywhere: fishing boats in the harbor, local markets selling fresh produce, and restaurants serving regional specialties.

The harbor and town center are easily walkable and well-marked, with clear routes between the beach and old quarter. Most facilities are close together, so you can explore the main areas without long walks.

A lookout tower sits on a hill above the town, once used to watch for pirates threatening the coast. This structure recalls a time when seafaring was dangerous and coastal residents had to stay vigilant.
