Lanzarote Aquarium

Lanzarote Aquarium is a marine facility in Costa Teguise with more than 30 tanks containing hundreds of fish species and other sea creatures. The tanks are arranged so you can see both local and tropical species in separate areas.

This marine facility was built in the 2000s and helped develop Costa Teguise as a tourist destination. It was created when the island was expanding its attractions for visitors.

The aquarium displays the marine life that has always surrounded the island's residents. Visitors learn how important protecting these underwater ecosystems is to the local community.

The facility is easy to reach and open from morning to early evening most days. When you visit, plan for about two hours to explore all the tanks at a comfortable pace.

Visitors can dive with sharks in the massive main tank, even if they have never dived before. This is an activity that surprises and attracts many who come here.
