Mirambel

Mirambel is a small municipality set in the mountainous Maestrazgo region at about 993 meters elevation. Stone buildings line narrow streets within medieval walls that form the outer boundary of the settlement.

The settlement developed as a defensive stronghold during the Reconquista, with its elevated position and fortified walls serving to control surrounding territories. This military purpose shaped the layout and construction of the town.

The town has recently experienced an increase in births, attracting new residents to the area. This reversal is notable for a small mountain settlement that had long faced population decline.
