Puebla de Sanabria

Puebla de Sanabria is a municipality situated between the Tera and Castro rivers in Zamora Province at 941 meters elevation. Stone buildings, narrow lanes, and ancient fortifications create the fabric of this medieval settlement.

The castle was built in the 15th century by order of the Count of Benavente, and its four towers and thick walls remain visible today. The fortress demonstrates the strategic role this location played in the region's past.
