Museo Arqueológico y de Historia de Elche, Archaeological and history museum in Elche, Spain.
The museum presents artifacts and exhibits from Neolithic times through Late Antiquity in a restored historical building with modern display methods.
Founded by archaeologist Alejandro Ramos Folqués, the museum opened in 2006 in a former textile factory within the eastern section of Altamira Palace.
The permanent collection includes Iberian sculptures, painted ceramics, and archaeological findings that represent the development of Mediterranean civilizations through centuries.
Located at Carrer de la Diagonal del Palau 9, the museum operates Monday through Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00 and Sundays from 10:00 to 15:00.
The museum integrates parts of a medieval wall, a 17th-century aqueduct, and an Islamic road gate within its architectural structure.
