Es Fangar

Es Fangar is a large rural estate in Manacor covering roughly 1000 hectares, with about 400 hectares designated as a nature reserve. The property combines agricultural areas with wooded sections connected by an extended network of trails.

The property originated with the Truyol family and later belonged to the Marqués de la Torre de Fangar before the Armstrong family purchased it in the early 1900s. This change in ownership brought new management approaches and protective measures for the land.

The estate preserves farming methods developed over generations while adopting organic practices that shape the landscape visibly. Visitors can observe how these techniques influence the way the land is managed and used daily.

The trails are well-suited for hiking and cycling and link the property to surrounding areas. Visitors should bring weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear, especially when exploring the natural sections.

The property contains one of the largest pine forests in southeastern Mallorca, providing shelter for several endangered species. Among the rare inhabitants are birds and turtles that thrive in this protected setting.
