Santuari de la Mare de Déu de la Balma

Santuari de la Mare de Déu de la Balma is a Renaissance sanctuary nestled into a natural cave formation that rises above the Bergantes River. The structure stretches approximately 36 meters into the rock, with decorative balconies and railings framing its facade against the mountain.

A chapel was first built at this location in 1308, establishing the cave as a sacred space for worship. The current structure with its bell tower was completed in the 17th century and has anchored the spiritual life of the region ever since.
