Co-cathedral of San Pedro, Catholic co-cathedral in Soria, Spain
The Co-Cathedral of San Pedro features three naves of equal height with star-shaped rib vaults supported by cylindrical columns and Romanesque architecture elements.
The original church from 770 became a collegiate church in 1152, and after reconstruction in the 16th century received co-cathedral status in 1959.
The southern facade displays Plateresque design with archivolts, detailed sculptures, and a prominent frieze showing Saint Peter alongside numerous decorative elements.
The cathedral opens Monday through Saturday at 7:00 PM, Sundays at 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, with entrance to the Romanesque cloister costing 2 euros.
The Chapel of Saint Saturio contains a Flemish-influenced triptych commissioned by the Marquis of Lozoya, considered the most valuable painting in Soria.
