Tellamendi

The Tellamendi summit rises to 835 meters above sea level, featuring exposed rock formations and steep slopes within the Sierra de Anboto mountain range.

The mountain summit has marked the boundary between the provinces of Biscay, Gipuzkoa, and Álava since the establishment of regional borders in medieval times.

Local mountaineering clubs organize regular group expeditions to Tellamendi, maintaining traditional hiking routes and sharing knowledge about the mountain paths.

The GR-12 trail provides direct access to Tellamendi from Besaide at 564 meters, with clear markers guiding hikers through the established mountain paths.
