Valderejo Natural Park, Nature reserve in Valdegovía, Spain.
The Valderejo Natural Park extends across 3,496 hectares of land, featuring Atlantic and Mediterranean forests with diverse ecological zones.
The villages of Villamardones and Ribera within the park boundaries gradually became unpopulated, leaving behind traces of past rural settlements.
The Purón River valley contains notable architectural elements from different periods, reflecting the agricultural traditions of northern Spain.
Visitors can access nine marked trails ranging from 3.5 to 12 kilometers, with an information center located in Lalastra.
The limestone cliffs of the park support a large colony of griffon vultures, which nest and breed in the rocky outcrops.
