Isla Mágica, Theme park in Isla de la Cartuja, Seville, Spain.
Isla Mágica is a theme park on Isla de la Cartuja in Seville, Spain, containing six different themed zones filled with attractions. The zones offer everything from roller coasters to water slides and interactive experiences set within historical backdrops.
The site hosted the World Exposition in 1992 before the amusement park opened there on June 28, 1997. The transformation repurposed existing pavilions and infrastructure to create a new function for the grounds.
The design of the areas draws inspiration from Spanish colonial towns and harbor scenes during the age of exploration, with buildings styled after the Americas and the Caribbean. Visitors encounter recreated settings from the era of trade fleets crossing between two continents.
Tickets can be purchased at the entrance or through the official website, with options for Fast Pass access to shorten wait times. The grounds are walkable, and signage guides visitors between the six areas.
A tethered balloon called Nao Vigía lifts riders about 100 meters (330 feet) into the air and offers views over the entire park grounds and the city. The ride lasts several minutes and rotates slowly so all directions become visible.
