Castell de Serra is a medieval fortress located in the hills of the Valencian Community. It features a stone tower and defensive walls that remain partially visible on the mountainside.
This fortress was built between the 8th and 9th centuries as part of a defensive network protecting the Kingdom of Valencia. It worked alongside neighboring strongholds to safeguard the region from attacks.

The ruins can be reached via a hiking trail that starts from the town of Serra and passes through woodland and open terrain. Sturdy footwear and water are recommended for the uphill journey.
A well-preserved cistern in the lower section of the fortress represents one of the most complete water storage systems from medieval times. This feature reveals how settlers managed water supply in this mountain location.
