The Ciudad Universitaria neighborhood encompasses multiple educational institutions, including Complutense University of Madrid and Polytechnic University of Madrid, forming a vast academic complex.
Construction of the university district began in 1929, following American campus designs, with initial buildings including the Hospital Clínico San Carlos and faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Science.
The Museum of the Americas, situated near Faro de Moncloa Tower, maintains a collection of 25,000 artifacts representing cultural heritage from across the American continents.
The district contains over 3,000 rental properties, numerous student accommodations, and extensive public transportation connections to central Madrid and surrounding areas.
The Complutense Botanical Garden, located between the Pharmacy and Biology faculties, spans 50,000 square meters and maintains more than 800 plant species for research.
