Danish architect Jørn Utzon designed and built Can Feliz in 1994 as his second residence on Mallorca, roughly two decades after completing his first project on the island. The house emerged from Utzon's ongoing interest in Mallorcan landscape and design principles.
The house displays traditional Mallorcan building methods and uses materials that have been employed on the island for generations. Local sandstone and craftsmanship connect it to the region's construction heritage.
