Can Papiol Romanticism Museum

Can Papiol Museum occupies a neoclassical manor house with four floors, featuring painted architectural elements on its exterior walls and biblical scenes inside.

Francesc de Papiol constructed this residence between 1790 and 1801, and in 1959 Barcelona Provincial Council acquired it to transform it into a museum.

The museum displays over 6,000 volumes from the 16th to 19th centuries in its library, along with furniture collections from Louis XV to Ferdinand VII periods.

The museum requires guided tours that start each hour, with tickets priced at 5 euros for adults and 2.5 euros for students and seniors.

The private chapel contains the preserved remains of Saint Constance, a child martyr from early Christian persecutions in Rome.
