The Coliseum features neo-baroque columns topped with a grand dome, incorporating French Beaux Arts influences in its monumental facade design.
Built in 1923 by architect Francesc de Paula Nebot, the Coliseum survived air raids during the Spanish Civil War in 1937.
The theatre presents a diverse program including films, dance performances, opera productions, and both classical and contemporary music concerts.
Located at 595 Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, the Coliseum maintains 1,700 seats and operates under Grup Balaña management since 1958.
Artists Pere Ricart, Fernández Casals, Gonçal Batlle, and Torra Pasan contributed to the interior decorative elements of the theatre.
