Hermandad del Cristo de San Agustín

The Hermandad del Cristo de San Agustín is a religious confraternity in Granada that organizes processions during Holy Week. Approximately 450 participants dressed in traditional robes walk through the city streets carrying sacred figures in a solemn ceremony.

The brotherhood was established in 1680 after a plague epidemic struck the city and residents carried the Christ figure in procession. This act marked the turning point in overcoming the disease and became central to the organization's founding story.
