Castillo de Torrejón de Velasco

The Castillo de Torrejón de Velasco is a rectangular fortress surrounded by stone walls and features nine semicircular towers distributed along its perimeter. The structure shows modifications from different periods, reflecting how defensive needs changed over time.

Bishop Gutierre Gómez de Toledo ordered its construction between 1432 and 1440 to defend the region. Later, the walls were reinforced and adapted to accommodate more powerful artillery as warfare technology evolved.
